migraine gifts migraine products

With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, you may be wondering how you will spend the day?  You may be celebrating the day by doing a Galentine's Day with your best girlfriends. You may have a wonderful and ROMANTIC dinner planned with your significant other. Or you may not be doing anything at all!

With all these choices, you may be the one who has a chronic illness or you may be dating someone or best friends with someone that has a chronic illness and wondering what you should get them.

Before we get into amazing gift ideas for your loved ones with chronic illness, let's start by talking about the elephant in the room.

Your significant other, your best friend, even your family is LUCKY to have you!

As a person living with migraine, I can often feel like a burden to my loved ones. I can't eat this, I can't do that, oof that's a migraine trigger, oh shoot my head hurts too bad I have to cancel plans. I often feel very particular.  Even for Valentine's Day, I worry about making plans with my husband because "What if I don't feel up to it?

But "WHAT IF I DO?" The reality is, my husband and I have been together for 6 years. He knows me better THAN anyone else. I still worry if I am a burden to him. But lately I have been reminded that just as I am lucky to have him, he is lucky to have ME.

Finding Love With Chronic Illness and Migraine

The reality is, when people say to the chronically ill "oh you are so lucky to have so, and so in your life." Their intentions are well intended but it can easily put the burden back on the person with chronic illness.

Yes, we are lucky and blessed to have people in our life who support us, are there for us during our good days and bad days, and can be someone that we rely on. But just like we are lucky to have them, they are lucky to have us!

So if you are single, dating, or in a relationship with chronic illness, just know that you are WORTHY of love and companionship.  Relationships are a two-way street and you are by NO MEANS a burden.  People love every part of one another, and relationships are a give and take.

Blisslets are stylish bracelets that are an all-natural way for nausea relief. They work by targeting the P6 point and this point is used in acupressure to relieve nausea.

Many people with migraine have nausea before an attack hits or during an attack.  For me, this can be my most debilitating symptom. These bracelets make it easy for me to get nausea relief so I can take my medication and keep it down (which is very important!)

Blisslets come in a variety of styles and colors, making them a perfect “romantic” gesture.
